Student Scholarships

Rotary's programs for students and youth can change the lives of those who participate. Through these programs, young people can earn scholarships, travel on cultural exchanges, or help a community through a service project.

The Thomasville Rotary gives scholarships annually to area seniors to aid in the costs involved with their continued education.  We also sponsor rising high school juniors at the Districts Rotary Youth Leadership Camp held yearly at Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, GA.

Ambassadorial Scholarships, The Rotary Foundation's oldest and best-known program, was founded in 1947. Since then, nearly 38,000 men and women from about 100 nations have studied abroad under its auspices. Today it is the world's largest privately funded international scholarships program.  The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas. The program sponsors several types of scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as for qualified professionals pursuing vocational studies.

Rotary International also provides other avenues of study for governmental representatives and private corporations to further understanding of cultural differences and to promote peace throughout the world.
