Food Bank and Outreach Program

This organization celebrated its 10^th anniversary in June 2008. Although the building is owned by The First United Methodist Church, all churches in the area along with service and social clubs volunteer to make the project work.

The Food Bank serves 180 to 200 people each week. This past winter they distributed over 2000 coats and 1500 blankets. Rotary has been involved since 2001 and has each year given over 200 coats or blankets each year. In 2007-2008 Rotary gave 420 coats or blankets and a Rotarian gave $1000 to purchase 200 blankets which will be distributed this winter season. The Food Bank is an all volunteer operation operated by 75 volunteers. Rotarians are very proud to be a part of this very worthy and successful organization.
