FAMILY OF ROTARY

Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynne Lindsey and all news should be directed to her at lynnehlindsay@outlook.com

President's Message

Rotary Major Donor

Achieving the milestone of Major Donor is a great honor. When your brother suffered from Polo and you designate your donation to Rotary’s Polio effort it takes on a special personal flavor as Sid Disher has done. It was my pleasure to be a part of our ceremony as District Governor Mary Ligon pined Sid’s major donor pin on his lapel.

We are very fortunate to have a great leader at the district level in Mary. She has encouraged us to be creative in attracting new members, support the YPA movement with our youth and find ways to encourage our young women of our community to achieve great things in life. Thank you, Mary, for being a part of our great club as District Governor.

This week you won’t want to miss our surprise guest speakers, to hear about some miracles right here in our own community. I am sure you will come away feeling encouraged and proud to be a part of our supportive family of Rotary.

Program- October 21- John Albers & Jonathan Crooks
Miracles Among Us: Stories of Gratitude

Two speakers this week:  John Albers, Kidney Donor, and Jonathan Crooks, Covid 19 Survivor

JOHN ALBERS AND HIS MIRACLE STORY ABOUT DONATING A KIDNEY TO HIS SON, WILL

We will hear the story of Will Alber’s recent kidney transplant from his father, Rotarian John Albers, including Kari's tale of the power going out in the hospital while both were in surgery.

JONATHAN CROOKS TALKS ABOUT HIS BATTLE WITH COVID-19

We will also hear from Rotarian Jonathan Crooks of his recovery after weeks in the hospital.

Powerful stories you don't want to miss from two of our own and the miracles of their experience. See you at Rotary!

Thu, Oct 21
Tribute to Past President Gary

Save the date!!

Come gather with fellow Roswell Rotarians at Deep Roots on Sunday October 24 for a wine tasting that benefits End Polio Now, and support your local business at the same time.
