Membership Drive
Dear Club Members,
Membership is the lifeblood of our club, and our continued success depends on our collective efforts to grow our community. With that in mind, please consider reaching out to your social and professional networks to solicit prospective members who share our values.
A wonderful way to introduce them to our organization is by inviting them to an upcoming service project, a lunch meeting, or one of our social events. Our shared goal is to showcase the meaningful work of Rotary, and welcoming new members into the club will be incredibly valuable to the community we serve.
Thank you for your dedication to our club and for helping us expand our impact.
Best regards,
Arthur Wigfall
Membership Director

Rotary Fact
Rotary was founded on Feb. 23, 1905, in Chicago, Ill. It was founded by Paul Harris, an attorney, and three associates: Gustavius Loehr, a mining engineer, Silvester Schiele, the president of Schele Coal Company, and Hiram Shorey, a merchant tailor.

The organization was named “Rotary” because the members initially rotated meeting locations among their offices. The first meeting was in Loehr’s office. The original purpose was to allow professionals with diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas, form friendships, and give back to their communities.
