This Week's Speaker
Jay Vinicki, Assistant City Manager, City of Dunwoody

Join us this Friday at the AC Hotel to welcome Jay Vinicki, Assistant City Manager, City of Dunwoody. Vinicki has served in this position since 2019.

During his tenure, he developed the city’s first true capital improvement plan along with shepherding a public citizen capital prioritization committee.  Vinicki also managed the city’s re-bidding of its major municipal contracts limiting five-year over five-year growth to under 12%.  He also has overseen administration of $24.2 million of federally related CARES and ARP programs, creating the city’s first grant program for not for profits.

Previous stops in Vinicki’s professional career include roles with DeKalb County, Atlanta Public Schools, Gwinnett County, the City of Roswell, and the Georgia Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget.

Vinicki also has an over 25-year side hustle as a game day sports statistician which showcases his excellent spatio-temporal assessment skills.  He works for Georgia Tech football and basketball, Atlanta United FC, the Atlanta Hawks/College Park Skyhawks, and the Atlanta Dream.  He has also volunteered for over a decade as an  instructor of English as a Second Language for Catholic Charities Atlanta.

Help Celebrate!
Can You Believe We're 40 Years Old

RCD turned 40 last month and we're planning a BIG celebration on Thursday, June 20 as part of our End of the Year celebration. Food, fun and fellowship have been hallmarks of our past - and this event will be no exception. We'll relive some special moments from the past while we celebrate Jack Sparks' year as president and welcome in the future with President Elect Louise Barden and her leadership team.

You and a guest are invited. Be sure to RSVP to Matthew Johnson, and to let him know if you have any Dunwoody Rotary alumni you would like us to add to our list; be sure Matthew has their names and email addresses.
