Nominations for 2029-2030 District 6900 District Governor Are Open


Nominations for our 2029-2030 District Governor are open. We need your help in identifying qualified candidates and officially nominating them by resolution of your club. The certified club resolution form will be sent to club presidents along with Article 16 of the Rotary Manual of Procedure that outlines the role and responsibilities of a District Governor. Any candidate clubs nominate must meet the following qualifications:

Qualifications of a Governor-nominee.
Unless excused by the board, the person selected as a governor-nominee shall at the time of selection:
  • be a member in good standing of a functioning club in the district;
  • have served as club president for a full term or as charter president for at least six months;
  •  demonstrate willingness, commitment, and ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a governor in section 16.030.;
  •  demonstrate knowledge of the qualifications, duties, and responsibilities of governor as prescribed in the bylaws; and
  • submit to RI a statement that the Rotarian understands those qualifications, duties, and responsibilities, is qualified for the office of governor, and is willing and able to assume and faithfully perform those duties and responsibilities.
Once nominated, send the club resolution along with a brief "Rotary Resume" for the candidate by Saturday, October 31, 2026 to Mandy Timmons, District 6900 Executive Manager at d6900executivesecretary@gmail.com. Our district nominating committee which is chaired by our District Governor and consists of our Governor line along with our Past District Governors will interview candidates on Saturday, November 14, 2026.
