Our meeting this week will focus on railroad safety. Jeremiah Parunak will discuss railroad safety on behalf of Operation Lifesaver, a non-profit organization and nationally recognized leader of rail safety education. Operation Lifesaver has been committed to preventing collisions, injuries and fatalities on and around railroad tracks and highway-rail grade crossings since 1972, with the support of public education programs in states across the U.S.
Jeremiah is an independent consultant with more than 15 years of railway infrastructure management, including inspections, design, construction, cost estimating, project development, scheduling, and budget management of railway infrastructure assets. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and has worked with The Center for Transportation Research and Norfolk Southern.
