Of the sixty-two in attendance at last week’s meeting, several represented the Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP). In attendance were Chairman Burt Guy, Vice-President Mike Swaggart, Katherine Fields from Marketing and Development and Secretary Lorrie Christopher. Katheryne Fields gave a brief report on GRSP which included where we stand as a club. She shared with us some of the good work GRSP is doing and some positive outlooks for the future.
Burt Guy and Debbie Goodman presented awards to two of our club members. Rotarian Bill Dickey was presented with the Will Watt Fellow plaque and pen. Rotarian Andre Marria was presented with the Jake Cheatham plaque and pen. We are all encouraged knowing that we play a vital role in making a difference in the world, one student at a time.
The Technology Student of the Month was Katelyn Watson from TCCHS. Katelyn plans to attend Valdosta State University and major in Early Childhood Education.
We welcome John Glenn’s return home from the hospital. He is doing well, but we continue to remember him and his family in our prayers.
