Last week’s meeting was not what we normally call a meeting. But that did not keep the Rotary Club of Thomasville members from taking advantage of a unique opportunity presented to them. As most of you know, the club was invited to take a tour of the new Archbold Advanced Therapy and Sports Medicine facility. For those of us who took the tour, we left quite impressed. The only such facilities in the area are those found at Florida State and maybe Valdosta State. This is definitely the place you want to use if you have any rehab to be done.
Some might ask, “Why forsake our meeting and visit this facility?” We try to take advantage of each opportunity opened to us by Rotary. As Rotarians, this tour gives us a presence in our community. We need to keep abreast of what is going on around us. We need to also be aware of what is available to the community. The more informed we are, the better able we are to make a difference in our community and the world. Remember, “Today is not just another day.
